What Was Never Seen09/2023 - 5/2024
“What Was Never Seen” is a family documentary project combining black and white and colored film, and digital photographs that capture the true essance of my household. I shed light on themes of familial relationships, past family experiences, loss, disconnection, and the grevious passing of my grandmother. My intention was to document sincerity and authenticity between every interaction photographed.
I’ve use appropiated archival photographs and videos within my project to present the contrast of how my family lives with each other currently to how we once were. I broadened my approaches when presenting and used installation elements to enhance my work. I incorporated audio, written text, and physical objects as strong additional components to compliment the work being showcased.
